Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 1S 4K Launched

June sees the release of one of the most exciting projectors to hit the market this year: the Xiaomi Mijia Laser Projector 1S. A short-throw projector, the 1S is a top-notch machine that provides excellent quality and ease of use, while being built to last.

The most startling improvement that the 1S makes over its predecessor is its brightness. At 2000 ANSI lumens, the 1S is 30% brighter than the original Mijia Laser 4K, making it more than powerful enough for even larger home cinemas. However, the 1S delivers on quality as well as brightness. At 4K resolution and with a 3000:1 contrast ratio, the 1S will provide picture quality that really brings what you watch to life.

The 1S can project images which range from 80 to 150 inches in size, and can provide images up to 100 inches in size just 24 cm from the wall or screen. As such, you can experiment with distance and size to find your perfect fit, all while being assured of great picture quality. It also contains built-in speakers with DTS-HD decoding, providing a quality of sound that matches the view.

Connectivity is important when it comes to projectors, and with a USB 3.0 port, an S/PDIF port, 3 HDMI 2.0b ports, and wi-fi, the 1S can be operated from any number of devices – making for flexibility in where and how you watch. A 16GB internal memory also offers you the ability to store plenty of media on the projector, saving space and making it surprisingly portable. The 1S is also compatible with the XiaoAI, so you can use it via a voice assistant in the remote. The patchwall OS also means that it can be used in conjunction with several Xiaomi apps. In addition, the 1S has a durability of around 25,000 hours, which works out at around 4 hours each day over a 17 year period!

All in all, the 1S is a projector that provides high-quality picture and sound, alongside solid storage, portability and excellent connectivity. All this, coupled with an extremely long lifespan, make the 1S required viewing.
