Canon Europe has launched a new printer promising to help increased productivity in a changing office environment.
The company believes the device’s high-quality printing capabilities and professional finishing options will enable businesses to take their printing to the next level.

Simple operation; high-level performance
The imagePRESS C170 Series is designed to produce high-resolution personalised prints allowing companies to explore in-house creative printing.
The C170 Series helps broaden print capabilities but with a simpler operation, removing the need for specialist user training thanks to an intuitive easy to negotiate control panel.
With a print speed of 70 colour pages per minute [PPM] and 80 monochrome, the machine offers speedy delivery in today’s changing and fasted-paced office.
Canon spokesman Hiro Imamura said: “The way we work is changing at incredible speed, but for many, the office is a hub for collaboration, where the physical meets the digital, and where creativity thrives.
“The imagePRESS C170 Series offers world-class printing technology to revolutionise print communications and empower hybrid working.”

Security and workflow
The printer offers security measures for sensitive information with a McAfee control feature ensuring customer and employee confidentiality.
Canon said there had been a continuous industry demand for streamlined workflows in professional environments, with the C170 designed to deliver on this.
Crisp prints and versatility
The model enables operators to create powerful, crisp prints to a professional standard along with the usual everyday office requirements.
The machine can handle other formats alongside standard A4 and A3, including envelopes and heavy media up to 350gsm, long sheets up to 1300mm, as well as supporting gloss, plain, silk, and textured media.

Options available
The C170’s professional finishing options include the Finisher-W1 PRO and Multi-hole puncher and Finisher-AC1 – compact.
There is a choice of controller available, including PCL and PS Optional as standard, and an optional external i1PRO and EFI embedded.
